License changed 2021 vers SSPL/Elastic License v2 (suite à AWS forking → OpenSearch). Disponibilités: Self-managed, Elastic Cloud (SaaS), Elastic on Kubernetes (ECK).

Elasticsearch v0.4 publie fevrier 2010 par Shay Banon ; Elastic NV fondee 2012 ; IPO NYSE 5 octobre 2018.

Exemple en contexte

Wikipedia utilise Elasticsearch 8.x pour indexer ~60M articles ; recherche full-text et lookahead UI delivere en moins de 100ms.
