CMR Convention chapitres : Chapter I Scope of Application, Chapter II Persons for Whom the Carrier is Responsible, Chapter III Conclusion and Performance of the Contract of Carriage (CMR Note article 4-16), Chapter IV Liability of the Carrier (articles 17-29, limite responsabilite carrier 8.33 DTS/kg poids brut, ~10 EUR/kg), Chapter V Claims and Actions (articles 30-33, deadline notification reception 7 jours, claim 1 an), Chapter VI Provisions relating to Carriage by Successive Carriers, Chapter VII Nullity of Stipulations Contrary to the Convention. CMR Note (lettre de voiture CMR) format : 3 originals (sender pink, carrier red, consignee blue) + copies. eCMR Protocol 2008 (electronic CMR Note) entree en vigueur 2011 ~30 pays signataires. Pays signataires majeurs : tous pays UE, Russie, Turquie, Maroc, Tunisie, Iran, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan.
