PEPPOL Validation Artefacts

The rule files every PEPPOL Access Point must apply.

Definition

OpenPEPPOL distributes its rules in a validation-artefacts repository, versioned at each release. Two layers apply: the EN 16931 rules (inherited from CEN) and PEPPOL-specific rules (PEPPOL-EN16931-UBL.sch for BIS constraints, PEPPOL-COMMON.sch for identifiers and code lists). An Access Point must validate inbound and outbound documents against the current version.

Origin

Published and maintained by OpenPEPPOL (Post-Award Coordinating Community) in the "peppol-bis-billing" repository and the official validation package, aligned with CEN/TC 434's EN 16931.

Example in context

Files applied to a BIS Billing 3.0 Invoice: PEPPOL-EN16931-UBL.sch then PEPPOL-COMMON.sch → SVRL report.
