Definition

Order Servicing introduces the concept of a single order consolidating journey, services, payment, accounting. Relevant NDC messages: OrderRetrieveRQ, OrderChangeRQ, OrderCancelRQ, ServiceDeliveryNotif, ServiceConfirmation. Adopter platforms: Amadeus Altea NDC, Sabre Order Optimizer, Lufthansa Sphere, Hahn Air. Reduces IATCI complexity and facilitates interlining. Continued standardisation in NDC schema 21.3+.

Example in context

A KLM agent modifies an order via OrderChangeRQ to add an onboard WiFi service ; a single order_id avoids the PNR-ticket-EMD complexity.
