Definition

In REMADV, the DOC segment states the nature and reference of the document. Qualifier 998 'Remittance advice number' designates the remittance advice itself; other codes of the same data element 1001 reference the settled invoices and credit notes. The 1001 code list comes from the UN/EDIFACT data element directory.
