Definition
An instance contains: schemaRef (taxonomy link), context (entity + period + scenario/segment), units (currencies, ratios), facts (typed facts). Each fact carries contextRef, unitRef, decimals/precision. Validation against taxonomy via Formula and Calculation linkbases. Successor format: Inline XBRL (iXBRL).
