X12 transaction set reporting product activity (sell-through) in distribution.

Definition

The 852 reports activity by item and store: quantities sold, received, on order and on hand. It is the backbone feed of collaborative replenishment and VMI, where the supplier computes demand from actual sell-through. The XQ segment carries the reporting period and quantity type.
