HS 2022 is the current edition (effective 1 January 2022) ; 1228 amendments vs HS 2017. HS 2027 published June 2024. Structure: Chapter (2 digits) + Heading (4) + Subheading (6). National extensions: EU = CN8 (CN code 8 digits), US = HTSUS (10 digits), JP = JTSUS (9 digits).
