VICS key historic publications: CPFR Voluntary Guidelines (1998 9-step + 2010 revision 8-task), VICS Bill of Lading (BOL), VICS Hangtag Guidelines (clothing tags), VICS Item Maintenance, VICS Logistics Information System (LIS), VICS UCS (Uniform Communications Standard EDI). Membership: ~250 major retailers and suppliers (Walmart, Target, JCPenney, Macy, Kohl, Levi Strauss, Procter & Gamble, etc.). Merger with GS1 US October 2012, smooth transition 2013 standards transferred.
