Definition
VDA 4905 describes the parts requirement: part numbers, quantities, due dates and cumulative-received figures. It is a fixed-length record format, predating EDIFACT, still widely used in Europe. It is the VDA equivalent of EDIFACT DELFOR and the predecessor of the VDA 4984 message (which is based on DELFOR).
