Message Trailer. The close of any EDIFACT message, with its segment control count.
Definition
UNT closes the message opened by UNH. Its element 0074 (control count) gives the total number of segments in the message, UNH and UNT included — an integrity check the receiver recomputes. Element 0062 repeats the matching UNH's message reference number identically; a mismatch signals a corrupted or truncated message.
