UNS
The boundary separating the header, detail and summary sections of an EDIFACT message.
Definition
UNS carries a code "D" (Detail/summary section separation) — it marks the end of the detail and the entry into the summary section of an INVOIC, ORDERS or DESADV. Present when the message has a standard 3-part structure.
Origin
Defined by UNTDID. Present in most commerce EDIFACT messages.
