CALINF
UN/EDIFACT CALINF message, port calls and container operations.
Definition
CALINF is sent, for example, by a liner agent to a stevedore to announce a vessel's expected arrival and the planned loading/unloading operations. It belongs to containerised maritime transport, not production scheduling; despite the shared word "call", it is not a JIT call-off like DELFOR/DELJIT.
Origin
A standard message type of the UN/EDIFACT directory (UNTDID), maintained by UN/CEFACT and published by UNECE (directories D.96B through D.21A and later).
Example in context
UNH+1+CALINF:D:00A:UN'
BGM+...' (call announcement)
TDT+20+VOYAGE123' (means of transport / voyage)
