e-Tax Invoice by Email
Simplified e-invoice track for Thai SMEs (ETDA / RD).
Definition
e-Tax Invoice by Email is one of the two tracks of Thailand's e-Tax Invoice & e-Receipt scheme. Aimed at small businesses (annual turnover ≤ THB 30 million), the invoice is emailed to the ETDA system, which applies a Time Stamp as evidence of integrity and date before the data is automatically forwarded to the Revenue Department (RD). It is a free alternative to the API-based e-Tax Invoice & e-Receipt track, which requires a digital signature.
Origin
Service operated by ETDA (Electronic Transactions Development Agency) in coordination with Thailand's Revenue Department, under the e-Tax Invoice & e-Receipt programme.
Example in context
An SME emails its PDF/A-3 invoice to csemail@etda.or.th; ETDA returns the time-stamped document and pushes the data to the RD.
