The EDIFACT segment that describes a transport: mode, vessel, route, rail, truck.

Definition

TDT structures the transport stage in IFTMIN, IFCSUM, IFTSAI messages: stage number (1=main, 2=pre-carriage), mode (10=sea, 20=rail, 30=road, 40=air), means of transport identification (composite C220), conveyance reference (composite C228), and carrier (composite C040).

Origin

Defined by UN/CEFACT D.96A and reused across all EDIFACT transport and logistics profiles.
