The MT707 amends a credit opened by an MT700, referencing it through field 21 (Receiver's Reference). Since Standards Release 2018, structured amendments use dedicated fields — 31E (new date of expiry), 32B/33B (amount increase/decrease) — rather than the free-text narrative field 79 alone.
