Real-time tracking of international SWIFT payments.
Definition
Relies on the UETR (Unique End-to-end Transaction Reference, UUID v4) inserted into block 3 of MT 103 (tag 121). gpi Tracker consolidates statuses across every bank traversed. SLA commitments: 50 % of payments credited within an hour, 100 % within 24 hours.
Origin
Launched by SWIFT in 2017. Extended to gpi Instant (instant payments) in 2019. Migration to ISO 20022 pacs.008 in progress (until November 2025).
