ST02 element of the ST header, X12 transaction control numbers.
Definition
ST02 (Transaction Set Control Number) is 4 to 9 characters, unique within a functional group. SE02 repeats the same value, closing the ST…SE loop; a 997 acknowledgement references this number in AK2 to report acceptance or rejection of each individual transaction set.
