SdICoop (SdI web service)
SdICoop is the web-service channel that lets software talk directly to the SdI to send and receive invoices.
Definition
SdICoop is one of the accreditation channels to the Sistema di Interscambio (SdI), the Italian public platform through which every electronic invoice flows. Its name comes from the cooperativo mode: it is a system-to-system exchange built on web services.
It targets businesses and intermediaries (software vendors, service providers) that want to fully automate their flows without manual intervention.
How it works
In practice, SdICoop exposes web services that allow:
- transmission of invoices in
FatturaPAformat to the SdI; - reception of inbound invoices and of the notifiche (acknowledgements, rejections, deliveries, failed delivery).
Access requires prior accreditation and a secured channel (certificates); the SdI replies asynchronously with timestamped notifications that mark each invoice's lifecycle.
Good to know
SdICoop coexists with other SdI access channels (portal upload, certified email/PEC, etc.). The choice of channel depends on volume and the desired level of automation: SdICoop is preferred for high-volume, industrialised flows.
The precise technical details (protocols and service versions) evolve with the specifications published by the Italian authority; always refer to the current official documentation.
