Definition
PV1 describes the current visit. PV1-2 (Patient Class) distinguishes Inpatient (I), Outpatient (O) or Emergency (E); PV1-3 gives the assigned location (PL); PV1-7 the attending doctor; PV1-19 the Visit Number. It follows the PID segment in ADT messages.
