ISO 20022 Payment Information Identification element, payment initiation in pain.001 and pain.008.

Definition

PmtInfId uniquely identifies a PmtInf block within the message. It is a 1-to-35 character string assigned by the initiating party and serves as the anchor for reconciling statuses returned in pain.002. A single pain.001 may carry several PmtInf blocks, each with its own PmtInfId.

Defined in the ISO 20022 Message Definition Report for pain.001 (Customer Credit Transfer Initiation) and pain.008, ISO TC 68/SC 9, maintained by the Registration Management Group.
