Document Type Identifier
Identifier that tells the PEPPOL network which document type is being exchanged.
Definition
The document type identifier declares which business document is flowing. Under the busdox-docid-qns scheme it concatenates the root element namespace, the element name, and the CustomizationID, separated by :: and ##. The receiver's SMP publishes the list of document type identifiers it accepts; a sending AP only delivers to a published type.
Origin
Defined by the OpenPEPPOL Policy for use of Identifiers (PolicyID 13/14) and the PEPPOL transport standard (formerly BusDox / OASIS BDXR SMP). Maintained by OpenPEPPOL AISBL.
