SFNA / EFNA
OFTP2 file-level negative acknowledgements, RFC 5024.
Definition
SFNA is the Listener's negative reply to an SFID (e.g. unknown dataset, file already received, restart impossible); EFNA is the negative reply to an EFID (e.g. write error, inconsistent record count). Each carries a reason code and a retry indicator. Distinct from NERP, the deferred application-level refusal.
Origin
Defined in RFC 5024 §5.3 and the reason-code annex (ODETTE File Transfer Protocol 2), maintained by Odette International.
Example in context
SFID dataset=UNKNOWN → SFNA reason=13 (file already exists) retry=N
