OASIS publishes ~150 active standards structured by Technical Committees (TC). Process: Working Draft → Committee Draft → Committee Specification → Public Review → OASIS Standard. Members: Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, EU governments, UN agencies. Headquarters Burlington MA. Close cooperation with UN/CEFACT (UBL and CCL reuse Core Components).
Origin
OASIS founded 1993 (initially SGML Open) ; renamed OASIS 1998.
