Definition

Tag 77T (Envelope Contents) is used in the SWIFT MX-to-MT migration — it encapsulates an ISO 20022 XML (pacs.008, pacs.009) inside an MT envelope for corridors where FINplus is not yet available. Format 9000x.

Origin

Defined in the SWIFT Standards MT User Handbook, maintained by SWIFT SC in Brussels with annual update (November release).
