Legally-valid digital archiving of FatturaPA invoices in Italy.
Definition
Conservazione sostitutiva (digital preservation a norma) replaces paper archiving with a process run by a Responsabile della conservazione, producing an archival package (pacchetto di archiviazione) sealed by a qualified timestamp (marca temporale) and digital signature. For invoices it runs for 10 years. The Agenzia delle Entrate offers free preservation for invoices passing through the SdI, but the legal obligation remains the taxpayer's.
