ISO commerce processes EDI committee.

Definition

ISO/TC 154 standardises: ISO 9735 (EDIFACT syntax v4), ISO 7372 (Trade Data Elements Directory), ISO 15000 (ebXML), ISO 8601 (date and time representation), ISO 20625 (XSD generation from EDIFACT guidelines). Secretariat held by SAC (China) since 2014, after SNV (Switzerland, 1972-2008) and NEN (Netherlands, 2008-2014). Coordination ECE/UN-CEFACT and with ISO/TC 68 (finance). Origin

ISO/TC 154 was created in 1972 (first plenary meeting in Stockholm in 1973); ISO 9735-1:2002 published for EDIFACT v4 syntax.

Example in context

An EDIFACT shipment compliant with ISO 9735-1:2002 follows UNA/UNB/UNH/.../UNT/UNZ syntax ; any compliant parser can decode it.
