ISO 20022 MDR

Documentation deliverable produced in the ISO 20022 registration process.

Definition

The MDR accompanies each published Message Definition: message structure, element descriptions, data types, textual (business) rules and examples. It is approved by the relevant SEG and then published by the Registration Authority together with the corresponding XSD schemas.

Deliverable defined by ISO 20022-1 and published by the Registration Authority (SWIFT) with each message on iso20022.org.

Example in context

The MDR for the pacs collection (FIToFICstmrCdtTrf) specifies the business rules of pacs.008 and provides the downloadable XSD schemas.
