ISO-15000-2-EBMS

The ISO-normalised ebXML envelope — predecessor of AS4.

Definition

ISO 15000-2 (2004) codifies ebMS 2.0 as an international standard: SOAP 1.1 envelopes with MIME attachments, XMLDSig signatures, XMLEnc encryption, reliability features (acknowledgement, retransmission). AS4 (OASIS, 2013) is the lightweight profile of ebMS 3 that replaced this standard.

Origin

Published by ISO in 2004 based on the OASIS/UN/CEFACT ebXML work.

Example in context

A SOAP envelope with an eb:MessageHeader, a signed XML payload, transported over HTTPS.

  • ebMS3 — OASIS successor.
  • AS4 — AS4 lightweight profile of ebMS3.
