IRBM-MYINVOIS

IRBM MyInvois is the Malaysian e-Invoice system operated by IRBM (Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia), launched on 1 August 2024 in turnover-based phases.

Definition

MyInvois is the IRBM real-time clearance portal for Malaysian invoices. Format: UBL 2.1 specialised for MyInvois (51 mandatory fields). Submission is via REST API; the portal returns an IRBM Unique Identifier Number (UIN) and a mandatory QR code on the printed invoice.

Origin

Law: Finance (No. 2) Act 2023. Launch 1 August 2024 for businesses with turnover > MYR 100M; full rollout 1 July 2025.

Use

A Malaysian company sends through the MyInvois SDK a UBL 2.1 invoice carrying INV-2026-0042 with the 51 fields (Buyer's TIN, Supplier's TIN, MSIC code, SST, etc.). IRBM replies <Validated/> with UIN and clearance time. The invoice is then tax-valid.
