INCOTERMS-DPU
Seller delivers and unloads goods DPU.
Definition
DPU is the only Incoterm where the seller handles unloading. All other post-delivery incoterms leave unloading to the buyer. The buyer then handles import customs.
Origin
Introduced in Incoterms 2020 (replaces DAT).
Example in context
A German manufacturer sells DPU Auchan Lille logistics centre — pays transport, unloads goods onto centre dock, Auchan pays EU intra import customs (nil) then internal delivery.
