FHIR counterpart of XDS, for mobile and web apps.
Definition
MHD uses FHIR resources DocumentReference, DocumentManifest (R4) / List (R5). Actors: Document Source, Document Recipient, Document Responder, Document Consumer. Transport layer JSON/XML over HTTP REST. Compatible with TEFCA via Sub-IG MHD for HIE. Supported by smile CDR, HAPI FHIR, Microsoft Healthcare APIs.
