International Classification of Diseases, 11th revision terminology, healthcare domain.
Definition
ICD-11 was adopted by the WHO in May 2019 and came into force on January 1, 2022. Adds codes for mental health, traditional Asian medicine, gaming disorder, plus a standardised API. Countries migrate progressively from ICD-10.
Origin
Maintained by WHO Geneva. First uses in Germany, India, Japan from 2023. French migration expected after ATIH transposition.
