EVN

HL7 v2 segment, admission/transfer/discharge (ADT) messages.

Definition

EVN follows the MSH segment in ADT messages. EVN-2 carries the recorded date/time of the event, EVN-4 the event reason code, EVN-5 the operator, and EVN-6 the actual date/time the event occurred. EVN-1 (event type code, HL7 table 0003) is retained for backward compatibility only and was removed as of v2.7.
