CA / CE / CR
MSA-1 values in enhanced acknowledgment mode, HL7 v2 commit level.
Definition
Used in enhanced acknowledgment mode, these codes concern receipt only, not processing: CA = message accepted for processing (safely stored), CE = commit error (e.g. sequence-number error), CR = commit reject (unacceptable message type, version ID, or processing ID). The application acknowledgment (AA/AE/AR) then follows separately.
Origin
Defined in Chapter 2 (Control) of the HL7 v2.x standard, published by Health Level Seven International.
Example in context
MSA|CA|MSG00001<CR> — accept (commit) acknowledgment before application processing.
