HL7 v2 trigger event, Chapter 3 Patient Administration, end of encounter.
Definition
A03 indicates the patient leaves the facility and the visit is closed; PV1-45 (Discharge Date/Time) and PV1-36 (Discharge Disposition) are populated. A discharge sent in error is reversed with A13 (Cancel Discharge), the mirror of A11 which cancels the A01 admit.
