Definition
The CPID identifies a component or part in business-to-business exchanges, typically for maintenance or industrial use. The reference is carried by AI (8010) and its optional serial number by AI (8011).

Defined in the GS1 General Specifications (CPID key, Application Identifiers 8010 and 8011), maintained by GS1.
