GS1 Application Identifier (01), trade-item identification.

Definition

AI (01) carries a GTIN in a fixed 14-digit field: a shorter GTIN-8/12/13 is right-justified and zero-padded on the left. It is the mandatory AI of any GS1-128 or GS1 DataMatrix carrying a product's identity.
