Definition
FCR is non-negotiable ; certifies receipt of goods by the forwarder. Contains: forwarder details, shipper, consignee, goods description, places, receipt date, signature. Frequently used by Far East FOB Asia shippers exporting to Europe/USA buyer. Enables financing before maritime loading via FCR-based L/C. eFCR successor coming through FIATA digital platforms.
