Definition

Factur-X and ZUGFeRD define several profiles (MINIMUM, BASIC WL, BASIC, EN 16931, EXTENDED). The EN 16931 profile, named COMFORT in the ZUGFeRD naming convention, carries all line items and data conformant to the EN 16931 core standard, enabling fully automated processing. It is the recommended B2B profile for cross-border interoperability.

Origin

Defined in the joint Factur-X 1.0 / ZUGFeRD 2 publication (FNFE-MPE and Forum elektronische Rechnung Deutschland), built on the EN 16931-1 standard (CEN/TC 434) and the UN/CEFACT Cross Industry Invoice (CII) D16B syntax.
