Factur-X BASIC WL profile (Without Lines)

BASIC WL enriches the invoice header with a full VAT breakdown while omitting line-by-line detail.

Definition

BASIC WL (Without Lines) is a Factur-X profile that goes further than MINIMUM: it carries header and footer data, including the VAT breakdown by rate and the totals, but without the detail of product or service lines.

What it is for

• Provide a sufficient basis for accounting reconciliation and VAT control without bloating the file with every line.
• Act as an intermediate step for issuers whose systems cannot (yet) structure line items.

Good to know

The absence of lines distinguishes BASIC WL from the BASIC profile, which does carry line-by-line detail and is therefore EN 16931 compliant. Depending on applicable requirements, a profile with lines may be needed for a fully compliant e-invoice.
