ETIM-MC

BIM ETIM extension with geometry.

Definition

ETIM MC v1.0 (published 2018, v2.0 published 2024) adds LOD geometry, connection ports (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical), reference points, BIM-specific attributes. Allows a manufacturer to publish an ETIM MC object that auto-deploys in Revit, Plancal Nova, AutoCAD MEP, Tekla. Adopted by eClass v13 (cross-reference).

Example in context

Viessmann publishes its boilers as ETIM MC v2.0 objects ; a MEP engineer imports them directly into Revit MEP with correct ports and flow rates.
