Dictionary Entry Name
The canonical naming convention of the CCTS Core Component model.
Definition
The DEN unambiguously identifies every dictionary component. It combines an Object Class (the concept), a Property Term (the characteristic) and a Representation Term (the value form, drawn from a closed list: Amount, Code, Identifier, Text, Quantity…). Qualifiers precede the term they restrict, separated by an underscore.
Origin
Naming rules defined by the UN/CEFACT Core Components Technical Specification (CCTS 2.01 / ISO 15000-5).
Example in context
"Trade_ Payment. Due_ Date. Date_ Time": Object Class = Trade Payment, Property Term = Due Date, Representation Term = Date Time.
