DATADOG-EDI
Datadog (EDI) is the Datadog SaaS observability platform — monitoring, APM, logs, network, security, RUM, ideal for end-to-end EDI flow supervision (latency, errors, throughput, partner SLO).
Definition
Datadog ingests metrics, traces (APM), logs, infrastructure data into one backend. Rich dashboards, complex alerts (Monitors), Service Catalog and SLO management. Native AWS, Azure, GCP, Kafka, Postgres integrations and a pluggable agent.
Origin
Founded in 2010 by Olivier Pomel and Alexis Lê-Quôc. IPO 2019 (NASDAQ: DDOG). Over 25,000 customers in 2024.
Use
An EDI broker sends Datadog APM traces with dd.trace_id aligned to the EDI trace_id. Dashboard: AS2 error rate per partner, MDN p99 latency, INVOIC throughput. Slack alert if AS2 error > 1% over 5 min or MDN > 60 s.
