CUR (X12)
ASC X12 header segment for currency specification.
Definition
CUR specifies the currency of a transaction. CUR01 carries an Entity Identifier Code (whose currency, e.g. BY buyer, SE seller) and CUR02 the ISO 4217 Currency Code. Optional elements allow an exchange rate and a second currency.
Origin
Defined in the ASC X12 segment dictionary (Accredited Standards Committee X12, under ANSI); the CUR02 currency code references ISO 4217.
