Coretax
Centralised tax platform of Indonesia's Directorate General of Taxes.
Definition
Coretax, the Core Tax Administration System (CTAS), is the centralised tax platform rolled out by the Directorate General of Taxes (Direktorat Jenderal Pajak, DJP), effective from the January 2025 tax period (launched 31 December 2024). It replaces the segmented legacy systems (DJP Online, eFaktur Desktop) by unifying taxpayer registration, filing, payments and the issuance/validation of e-Faktur (VAT invoices) for PKP taxpayers.
Origin
System developed and operated by the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) within the Ministry of Finance (Kementerian Keuangan); official communications on pajak.go.id and DJP regulations governing the transition to Coretax.
Example in context
A PKP now issues its VAT invoice through the e-Faktur module embedded in Coretax, which allocates the invoice serial number (NSFP) and records the transaction, replacing the former standalone eFaktur Desktop application.
