CMA
Caisse des Métiers Artisanaux / Carrier Management Agreement. See official source.
Definition
Carrier Management Agreement — framework agreement between a shipper and a carrier that formalises operational conditions, rates and indicators before any EDI exchange of transport orders.
Origin
Common commercial practice documented in Odette and GS1 Transport Logistics guides. The CMA precedes the rollout of IFTMIN/IFTSTA flows.
Use
Before an EDI onboarding in transport, the CMA sets the SLAs, the scope of exchanged messages (IFTMIN, IFTSTA, IFTMCS, INVOIC) and the test schedule.
