Complemento

Regulated fiscal extension of the Mexican CFDI.

Definition

Unlike the free-form addenda, each complemento has an official XSD schema published by the SAT and is included in validity computation. The most common are Complemento de Pagos (REP, the payment receipt mandatory for credit operations), Carta Porte (freight transport), Comercio Exterior (export) and Nómina (payroll). A single CFDI may carry several complementos.

Origin

Catalogue of complementos published and versioned by the SAT (Servicio de Administración Tributaria) under Anexo 20 and the rules of the Resolución Miscelánea Fiscal; each complemento has its own XSD file.
