CEN/TS 16931-3

The syntax-mapping layer of the EN 16931 semantic model.

Definition

Part 3 translates the semantic model (Part 1) into concrete syntaxes: 3-1 methodology, 3-2 UBL 2.1 (ISO/IEC 19845), 3-3 UN/CEFACT CII XML D16B, 3-4 UN/EDIFACT INVOIC D16B. Each BT/BG gets its XML path and validation rules there.

Origin

Technical specifications published by CEN/TC 434 (CEN/TS 16931-3-1 to 3-4, 2017+AC:2018 editions). The list of compliant syntaxes is also given in CEN/TS 16931-2.

Example in context

CEN/TS 16931-3-2 binds BT-1 (Invoice number) to /Invoice/cbc:ID in the UBL 2.1 syntax.
