EDIFACT composite C002, name and type of a document.
Definition
C002 groups data element 1001 (document name code, list UNCL 1001), 1131 (code list qualifier), 3055 (responsible agency) and 1000 (document name in clear). It is the first composite of the BGM segment, where it states the functional type of the message (order, invoice, despatch advice…).
Origin
Defined in the UN/EDIFACT composite directory (EDCD), maintained by UN/CEFACT. The values of data element 1001 are published in code list UNCL 1001.
